How these numbers are counted
Every ranked game of the patch from every region, read from Riot Games' match data and counted again every hour. A board is one player's team at the end of a game. Each board counts in the rank of the player who played it, and the ranks you pick are added up.
A board counts for one of our comps when it holds most of that comp's board for the level its player ended at, with the carries that board already fields, so a game lost early still counts for the comp it was going for. Comps that share their early boards, such as a reroll comp and the fast 9 of the same trait, can trade some early games.
Average place runs from 1 (first) to 8, lower is better, and 4.5 is the middle of a lobby. Top 4 is the share of games in the top four, win the share of firsts. The data tier uses the cuts our tiers started from: S at 4.36 or lower, A at 4.53, B at 4.87, then C. Rows with fewer than 100 games are greyed out and sorted last, and no number stands for fewer than 10 boards.
Only totals are shown: no player, name or single game. Our tier lists stay our own assessment of the patch, and these numbers are one of the things they weigh.
