TFT Reroll Comps: When to Reroll and Every Set 18 Reroll Line

By PivotTFT · Updated 13 October 2026 · 7 min read

A reroll comp stays low and spends its gold rolling the shop for three-star copies of cheap champions. A three-star 1-, 2- or 3-cost carry hits as hard as a 4-cost, and it comes online a stage or two earlier. Here's how to play one, when it's worth it, and every reroll line on our list this patch.

How a reroll works

Each champion has a limited number of copies in the shared pool, and you need nine copies of one for a three-star. A reroll comp hunts those copies at the level where the shop shows them most, instead of buying XP. The usual way is a slow roll: keep 50 gold for the full 5 interest and spend only what's above it, every round, until your three-stars are done.

Slow rolling keeps your economy alive while you search. Spending everything at once, an all-in roll, finds the copies faster but leaves you broke; save it for when your health is low or the lobby is about to outscale your board.

Tip Count the copies you hold, on the board and the bench. Seven copies with one pair left to find is close; three copies at 4-1 usually isn't.

Which level to roll at

The cost of the champions you want decides the level. On this patch's list, the lines that three-star 1-costs roll at level 5, the 2-cost lines at 6 and the 3-cost lines at 7. Roll higher and the shop fills up with pricier champions and fewer of your copies; roll lower and you lose too much health while you search.

When to reroll

  • You hit copies early. Two or three copies of a reroll carry on stage 2 is the clearest sign. The cheaper the champion, the earlier those copies matter.
  • Your items fit. A reroll carry still needs its items: Rods and Tears for a caster like Veigar or Azir, Swords, Bows and Gloves for an attacker like Kha'Zix or Rengar.
  • Nobody else is on it. Check the other boards before your first big roll; the next section covers what to look for.
  • An augment helps. Free rolls (Rolling For Days, Patience Is A Virtue) and Prismatic Ticket make the search cheaper, and the trait augments some lines mention in their guides make them stronger.

When it is contested

Every copy someone else holds is one you can't find. If a second player is rerolling your carry, you both need way more rolls, and a third player makes three-stars close to impossible. Scout before you commit, and again when your rolls stop finding copies; the scouting tutorial shows how. If the line is contested, pivot early to the next comp your units and items fit, not after half your gold is gone.

After the three-stars

Once your carry and key tanks are three-star, stop rolling at that level and start levelling. Each comp's guide says what comes next: usually the 4-costs that finish its traits at level 8, sometimes a 5-cost at 9. A reroll board that sits at level 7 for the rest of the game falls behind the boards that hit 8 and 9.
